INCREASED RELIABLITY WHERE IT MATTERS MOST

At Wilden®, reliable is in our DNA – we don’t cut corners just to save you money on the front end. Our air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pumps take reliability to the next level, combining design simplicity with rugged durability that end users have come to depend on for more than 65 years. That’s why our solutions are always a step above the competition.

EXTEND DIAPHRAGM LIFE

The Problem

The faster that pump parts wear, the more inventory you must keep on hand and the more frequently your pump is in maintenance and out of production. Product changeovers can also create issues, requiring dismantling and cleaning of individual parts to prevent product contamination.

The Wilden Solution

Wilden Chem-Fuse diaphragms, with an integral piston design, significantly extend AODD pump diaphragm life (by up to 10-15x) by eliminating outer-piston abrasion, especially when pumping abrasive fluids. Use Chem-Fuse to keep your pump in production longer, reduce parts inventory and enjoy easy cleanability for faster changeovers between product.

CHEMICAL COMPATIBILITY

The Problem

To cut costs, other AODD manufacturers use aluminum, PTFE-coated aluminum or plastic for the center sections of their stainless-steel pumps. For plastic pumps, other AODD manufacturers use Aluminum or PTFE-Coated Aluminum for the center sections. During a diaphragm rupture, if the product gets into the center section, it has the potential to corrode and destroy the pump, cause product contamination and create a safety hazard.

The Wilden Solution

We take chemical compatibility seriously. When applications require it, Wilden provides a stainless-steel threaded or flanged bolted pump that has all stainless-steel components, including the air chamber and air distribution system. For applications that require polypropylene construction, Wilden has it covered. Reduce the wasted product, save on maintenance and cleanup cost and eliminate safety hazards with a chemically compatible pump.

MEETING HIGH HYGIENIC STANDARDS

The Problem

AODD pumps that are utilized in the production of hygienic or sanitary products for the food-and-beverage, personal-care and pharmaceutical industries must meet a wide range of strict regulatory manufacturing standards. However, while some pump brands may be able to gain regulatory certification, they can have a number of design shortcomings that can hamper their overall performance and reliability, chief among them product-trap areas that can compromise quality.

The Wilden Solution

Saniflo-Animation

The unique design of the Wilden Saniflo™ Hygienic™ Series (HS) Pump incorporates a free-draining flow path that eliminates product-trap areas and enables clean-in-place (CIP) capability with lower risk of cross-contamination or compromised finished product. Additionally, the Saniflo HS pumps can be outfitted with Pure-Fuse Integral Piston Diaphragms (IPD), which use no adhesive in their construction. They feature a one-piece design that eliminates trap areas between the outer piston and the diaphragm. The design also puts an end to typical abrasion wear caused by the outer piston, resulting in longer service life. These features make Saniflo HS pumps the best choice for handling prepared food and sauces, beverages, poultry, dairy, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.
