All-Flo mines how productive you are day-to-day.

Mining pumps are a key part of the equipment that ensures a clean, safe and productive work environment. The mining industry exposes workers to hazardous chemicals and potential threats such as tunnel collapse, intense vibrations and impaired air conditions. Each piece of equipment, safety measure and manufacturing process is strategically put in place to keep things running efficiently and safely.

Because of the high stakes in the mining industry, All-Flo works tirelessly to engineer the most innovative and productive pumps on the market. Our dedication, knowledge and designs make All-Flo a leader in the mining industry, and here are a few reasons why.

Dewatering is one of the most common applications an air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump performs in the mining industry. From damp tunnels to aboveground mining sites and quarries, unwanted water can cause a lot of issues. Accumulating water can make the work environment unsafe, collect hazardous materials and reduce productivity by getting in the way of the daily workflow.

Commonly, this water also contains debris such as rock, mineral particles, metal shavings and other elements that could cause a problem for pumps during a dewatering process. All-Flo’s AODD diaphragm pumps, however, are built to take on these abrasive slurry and sludge mixtures. Removing these complicated corrosive elements can be challenging and in time can damage a pump, but All-Flo uses a thermoplastic diaphragm rather than a rubber diaphragm. The thermoplastic material Geolast® can outlast rubber counterparts by providing twice the life expectancy. It almost welcomes the abrasive materials.

Some mining environments are also in close proximity to toxic and hazardous chemicals. We’ve tested all of our pumps’ chemical compatibility and sited them to prevent any failures due to harmful chemical reactions. Sulfuric acid and chloride are often the most common hazardous chemicals present in the metal mining environments. However, regardless of the specific mining industry you are in, we are here to help you evaluate if our pumps are the safest for your application and environment.

All-Flo AODD pumps are well engineered for the mining industry. Combined with routine maintenance, the design of All-Flo diaphragm pumps helps eliminate the risk of corrosion, erosion and incrustation concerns. Whether operating in an open pit or underground mine, our pumps are capable of handling the dewatering, acid mine drainage, raw water supply or any other application you may need in your designated mining environment with little probability of repetitive equipment malfunctions.
