For years, instead of handing out the usual Christmas presents, we have been supporting the foundation KinderHerz Deutschland.
Together with clinics for children suffering from heart conditions in all of Germany, and based on promotional ideas, the foundation develops sustainable projects benefiting children suffering from heart deficiencies. We are happy to contribute at least a small part to the improvement of the quality of life of those children.
So for example, our donation supports the German Cardiac Center in Munich. With their specially designed breathing exercises, they help young cardiac patiens to regain their physical fitness after corrective surgery since the ability to absorb oxygen into the lungs is impaired. During the course of this training, the pulmonary vessels are widened and extended in order to relieve the pulmonary circurlation which, in turn, is supposed to ease strain on the cardiac cycle as a whole. Trainers work with the kids and show them exercises they can do at home to train their lungs for life and all its challenges.
